Open The Book
Open the Book (OtB) is a project which offers primary school children an opportunity to hear key Bible stories, from a team of Christians from local churches, who present the stories during assemblies/acts of Collective Worship. It’s fun, it’s easy, it’s rewarding.
To find out why OtB is growing so quickly and having such an impact on primary school children, teachers and volunteers all over England and Wales watch our video to see how you can influence your local community. https://www.biblesociety.org.uk/get-involved/open-the-book/
Why wouldn’t you want to get involved?
The South Fylde Circuit is planning to set up an Open the Book team this spring and we’re looking to recruit storytellers, costume makers and props creators. If you think you’d like to find out more, or would like to be involved, we have an exploration session on Thursday 20th February at 11am at Fairhaven Methodist Church.
Conversations with schools are already taking place, and because we are confident that we’ll be able to put together a team we have already booked the official Storyteller Core Training which will be on Thursday 5th March 2020 @ Fairhaven Methodist Church.
See the posters in your church for further details. As places are limited for the Core Training, get yourselves booked in as soon as possible on https://storyteller-training-event.eventbrite.co.uk or for further information speak to Carolyn Hothersall 07401191814 email@example.com
Please would you pray for:
- for the leaders,
- the schools,
- the volunteers
- and all those whose lives will be enhanced by their experience of the Bible stories being shared.
